1. The National Innovation Award is the highest-level award in the fields of biomedicine, health and interdisciplinary innovation in Taiwan. Among them, the Academic Innovation Award is a key field for academic and research teams to demonstrate innovative breakthroughs. This year, applications are open for seven categories of innovation fields: (1) Smart healthcare and health technology (2) Biopharmaceutical and precision medicine (3) Innovative medical devices and diagnostic technologies (4) Agricultural and food biotechnology (5) Specialized materials and applied biotechnology (6) Environmental technology and energy applications (7) Innovative epidemic prevention technology.

2. The National Innovation Award is jointly selected and recommended by 90 medical authorities, research leaders, government officials, and industry technology and investment evaluation experts. It guides product development and market pathways. Winning teams have become the primary destination for industries seeking R&D, licensing, and investment targets. The annual Asia-Pacific Demo Day, the largest of its kind, is the highest honor for startups, attracting international attention. Gathering abundant R&D resources from medical and academic institutions, the National Innovation Award provides outstanding teams with guidance on technology commercialization strategies, continues to organize the "Inno Zone" international roadshow, and helps connect them with key resources such as venture capital, clinical development, legal and intellectual property, accounting and taxation, and international markets, encouraging and accelerating innovation and entrepreneurship, and driving the rise of new industry stars!

3. The application period for this year is from now until July 31, 2026. The application fee is NT$55,000 per entry.
